Elementary Students Become 3D Creators with VIVERSE Create | Xinhai Showcase

“VIVERSE Create is probably one of the greatest gifts HTC has given to the world.”
— Wang Zongke, Head of IT, Xinhai Elementary School
We’re used to uploading photos to Facebook and sharing videos on YouTube, but 3D creation has long lacked a user-friendly platform for public showcasing. VIVERSE aims to become a 3D stage for every creator — not just a technical tool, but an open and free creative space where students can confidently express their ideas, participate in digital communities, and develop self-expression and confidence from a young age.
In today’s rapidly evolving world of digital learning, 3D creation is no longer reserved for higher education or specialized technical fields. With HTC’s VIVERSE Create platform, even elementary school students can now easily step into the world of 3D immersive creation, embarking on their own journey of digital storytelling and creativity.
Xinhai Elementary’s “Virtual World Aesthetic Education” Program in Taipei
At Xinhai Elementary School in Wenshan District, Taipei, the “Cross-Disciplinary virtual world Aesthetic Education” program has been running for three consecutive years, serving as a prime example of how XR technology is entering elementary education. Led by Wang Zongke, Head of IT, upper-grade students use the VIVERSE Create platform to embark on a creative journey from 2D to 3D, focusing on the theme of “3D Mascot Design.”
The students begin by sketching their mascot designs by hand, then use AI tools to help generate 3D models. Their creations are further expanded into virtual spaces within VIVERSE, where they build class-themed walls, exhibition zones, and personal galleries. Throughout the process, students not only practice creative design, but also develop skills in spatial planning, exhibition curation, and digital storytelling.
VIVERSE Create: Building a 3D Creation Platform for Everyone
“It’s such a great sense of accomplishment to see my work showcased in a 3D immersive space where my classmates can freely explore it!” one student shared excitedly. This kind of learning experience aligns perfectly with the 12-Year Basic Education curriculum’s focus on developing “core competencies” and “hands-on skills.” Through design thinking, computational logic, and problem-solving exercises, students not only strengthen their technological literacy but also develop cross-disciplinary communication and self-expression abilities.
Some students designed colorful cats whose fur transforms into cotton candy, while others combined ancient armor with cultural creativity, producing 3D works that can be turned into merchandise like fans or keychains. These digital creations were further shared through the VIVERSE Worlds platform, allowing students to present their personal digital stories.

VIVERSE Create: XR Creation Without Coding, Bringing 3D Learning to Younger Students
HTC has long been committed to advancing XR education — from higher education applications at institutions such as the University of Texas at Austin and National University of Kaohsiung, to now extending into elementary school classrooms. Step by step, HTC is building a comprehensive learning pathway that spans from professional skills development and career exploration to early childhood introduction, making cross-age XR education a reality.
Through this implementation at Xinhai Elementary School in Taipei, VIVERSE Create enables elementary students to easily engage in 3D creation without any coding background. Students not only experience the joy of integrating technology and art, but also begin to imagine new possibilities in their digital futures. HTC will continue to support global education with diverse, accessible, and user-friendly 3D immersive learning solutions through the VIVERSE Create platform, realizing the educational vision that “creativity is the foundation of learning.”
